Success in the future of oil and gas will require continued adaptation, as the demand for oil and gas will continue to increase. Oil and gas are expected to remain the leading energy resources for some time to come. We should expect and work on exploration of additional areas as our technologies evolve.

Prices can only be controlled by keeping production costs low. No doubt that maintaining the exploration success will require the development of new and better technology. A key example, and one of today's more exciting prospect, is technology that directly detects and distinguishes the presence of hydrocarbons. However, an important advancement in the Indian petroleum industry came with the passing of Industrial Policy Resolution in 1956, which emphasized focus on the growth and promotion of industries in India. Another major incident was the discovery of Bombay High, which changed the scenario of the Indian petroleum industry drastically.

The Indian petroleum industry was sponsored completely by the government, and the management control of the petroleum industry and all its related activity was entirely with the government. The petroleum industry has the most significant role to play in changing the Indian economy from an agrarian economy to an industrial economy. The importance of the oil industry was further magnified during World War I. Gasoline was needed in large quantities to fuel tanks, planes, trucks and other military needs. Without a constant supply of gasoline and other petroleum-based fuels, the war might have ended differently. In this way, the oil industry really played an enormous role in defining history.

The petroleum industry has contributed heavily to the manufacturing industry in the country through foreign trade in petroleum products. Rapid globalization, fast-changing technology, and the changing methods in the way business is conducted have brought significant changes and enormous opportunities for petroleum companies in India to flourish and expand their operation to global markets. There are several products that have contributed to this industry. Without the use of such equipments, oil and petroleum would be of no use. These are Closed Mouth or Tight Head Drums, Open Mouth or Open Head Drums, Internal Coating Drims, and many more. These products are heavily used for the storage of oil and petroleum. Another important factor to be included in the supply and demand history of oil and gas over the last century is the, price. Technology and geopolitics are the 2 important factors which will help in controlling the prices in future.

What started the transformation of oil from essentially a niche industry to the economic giant it is today was the invention of the gasoline-powered automobile. Henry Ford put the nation on wheels, making standardized automobiles affordable to many. As a result, now our society could not function without the oil industry. And the products like Closed Mouth or Tight Head Drums, Open Mouth or Open Head Drums, Internal Coating Drims, etc. have greatly helped in growing this industry.
