Sound: Vibrations through Air

Sound is vibration that passes through air which is used to communicate by people & animals. There are various equipments that are based on sound technology. Sound is used for various purposes such as Sonar, Echo, Music, for determining earthquakes, & most importantly as means to communication. We offer sound proofing products & services.

Sound is vibration that flows through air which is used by many animals for communication purposes.  Various instruments have been invented today on the basis of using sound technology.  Sound is basic unit for communication & it is communication that makes man a social group. When most people think of music, they think of their favorite band, or song, but music is more than that, music is a form of sound, and sound is just a form of energy moving, through the air, at least in most cases.  Sound passes through matter by transferring energy through particles, the particles hit the other particles next to them and the wave is formed. The speed of sound depends on the material it is passing through. When you see kids playing in the pool, and their voices are much louder, it is because the sound is amplified by the water and doesn't disperse as quickly.

Sound can also be put to many uses besides listening pleasure. Sonar, for instance, is similar to radar accept it is used in the water. Sonar stands for Sound Navigation Ranging. Submarines use sonar to locate other large objects and to find the depth of the ocean floor. Many devices use ultra-sonic sound, like toothbrushes, and the scanners used for seeing an unborn child. Ultra-sound is just what it sounds like, an ultra high frequency of sound.

Not all sound that hits matter is absorbed. Some of it is reflected. That means sound bounces off the solid matter the way a tennis ball bounces off a wall. Sound reflected back to its source is an echo. Once you know how different materials affect sound, you can make it work for you. When sound strikes soft materials, much of the sound is absorbed. A sound insulator is a material that absorbs most of the energy of sound waves. Geologists use their knowledge of rocks to help them locate oil reservoirs. Earthquakes can be tracked and their waves understood once the geologist understands how the earthquake waves travel through different kinds of rocks and magma.  Animals like bats can use sounds to see because when they screech it is like sonar and they can sense things out when they rebound off of a wall or something else. Those sounds are their language.

We, SPC Power Equipments, provide a 3" thick cladding of rock wool which is further fastened with the help of aluminum sheets which have a lining of glass fiber tissue. For the exhaust of the radiator air we provide sound blockers and for the air intake for cooling the room our Universal make axial fan is provided with sound proof cowls to prevent any sound leakage from the fan end. Weatherproof & anti corrosion provided to the entire structure along with powder coating.
